Accounts filing requirements and legal obligations

The Commercial Companies Law No 4/1974 requires companies to submit audited accounts every year. There are 6 types of register companies:

International
Excellent
Grade 1
Grade 2
Grade 3
Grade 4

Companies with grade 2 and above must keep accounting records.

Companies with grade 2 and above must submit audited accounts to the Ministry of Commerce on an annual basis.

From a tax perspective there are some exemptions for small and medium sized companies, including that they would not have to pay tax in the case that the net profit is less than RO 30.000.
